I’d laugh at the dogs losing their minds in the waves, listen to the ocean drown out the noise in my head, watch the surfers and stay until the stars started sparkling. Nothing was necessarily solved. But I would leave with sandy toes, salty ocean air in my lungs, and somehow feeling more at peace with whatever I was struggling with.
