About

Welcome to Chasing the Light. I invite you to join me on a journey of discovery and growth.

Chasing the Light is a photo journal, combining my love for writing and photography. I will share my childhood and young adult years in Cape Town, South Africa. I will write about my early 30’s when I got married, had children and left everything and everyone I knew to move to England where we lived for 4 years. In 2022 we moved to Mauritius, a dreamy tropical island in the Indian Ocean.

We have now settled back in South Africa and I’d like to take you on a journey, through the highs and lows of life.

Lets talk about common challenges we face, the doubts, the fears, the struggles, and the shadows that threaten to consume us.

The need to connect with ourselves, nature, the people around us. The small daily habits that create waves of positive thoughts, actions and behaviours, gradually shaping every aspect of our lives. The power of your mind and the critical ability you need to learn to manifest the life you want.

Our dreams, things that bring us joy and peace, the importance of hope and faith, perseverance, determination and the power of resilience through adversity.

And as a mom of 3 I will certainly be writing about motherhood. The joys and the struggles. The moments where you think omg… and the moments where you cant help but just laugh (or lose your shit). Embracing the chaos and the silly.
