We’ve arrived in England!
Our UK adventure began in Bracknell, staying with family friends. It was summer, and the days were long, bright, and surprisingly hot – totally not what I was expecting, but absolutely wonderful. There’s something magical about the sun still lingering at 10 p.m. Lily’s sleep schedule went into mild chaos 😄but I like to think we were all learning to embrace it!
On our second evening, we decided to head to Windsor for a bit of exploring. The town was alive with energy. People strolling, cafés buzzing, street performers playing, and tourists like us soaking up the sunshine and summer vibes. Castles everywhere, flowers spilling out of every corner, and this unmistakable English charm. Can you tell I have a soft spot for flowers… and castles? Two of my very favourite things.
We wandered around the castle grounds, utterly in awe of the history and architecture. Every stone, every turret, every flag fluttering in the breeze felt like stepping into a storybook. After soaking it all in, we meandered down narrow streets, laughing at the crooked little buildings, and peeking into souvenir shops.
Suddenly there it was, the canal, sparkling in the golden light. People bustled along the paths, children feeding ducks, boat tours, and locals and tourists all enthralled in the simple joys of summer.

That evening in Windsor reminded me why I love to travel: the thrill of discovering a new place through all your senses. That evening was golden in every sense: golden light, golden memories, and the golden feeling of adventure beginning to unfold.
